Terms of Service
The agreement, written so you can actually read it.
Short, specific, and honest about what this software is and is not. Where something is a real limit on us, it says so.
Version 2.1 · Last updated 10 October 2026
1. Who you are agreeing with
ZenBillOS is operated by ZenTarRix, based in Gujarat, India. In these terms, “we” means ZenTarRix and “you” means the person or business using ZenBillOS.
2. What ZenBillOS is
Software for creating GST invoices, tracking stock, recording payments and keeping the books of a small business in India. It works offline and syncs when you have a connection.
What it is not: it is not accounting advice, tax advice, or legal advice, and we are not your chartered accountant. It does not file your returns for you. It calculates tax from published government rate schedules, and the responsibility for what you file remains yours.
3. Your account
You need an account, and you must give accurate details — your business name, a phone number or email, and your GSTIN if you are registered. Invoices are legal documents; wrong details on the account become wrong details on documents your customers rely on.
Keep your sign-in to yourself. If you let staff use the app, what they do on your account is your responsibility. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got in.
You must be 18 or older and running a real business.
4. Your data stays yours
Your bills, customers, items and ledger belong to you. We hold them to run the service for you. You can take a copy at any time — in the app, under Privacy & data — without asking us and without deleting anything.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your customer list, your sales figures or your margins with other merchants, advertisers, or lenders. What we collect and who else touches it is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
5. Tax calculation, and its limits
ZenBillOS applies GST rates from the government’s published rate schedules and blocks an invoice that is missing a required HSN or SAC code. Where our rate differs from the one you entered, we apply the statutory rate and flag it for you.
Read this part. Tax rates change, sometimes with a few weeks’ notice, and rate schedules contain conditions that depend on facts only you know — how an item is packaged, where it is supplied, what your turnover is. You are legally responsible for the tax on the invoices you issue. Check anything unusual with a chartered accountant. If you think a rate we applied is wrong, tell us — that is a bug, and we want it.
6. The assistant only drafts
Voice billing and bill scanning produce a draft. They fill in the same fields you would type, and you review and press Save yourself. The assistant cannot issue an invoice, send anything to a customer, or submit anything to the government, and there is no setting that lets it.
This is deliberate and we do not intend to offer a way around it. A bill issued in your name that nobody looked at is a liability you did not agree to take.
7. What you may not do
- Use ZenBillOS to create false or misleading invoices, or to evade tax.
- Resell or rent access, or use it on behalf of businesses that have not agreed to these terms.
- Attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or access another merchant’s data.
- Upload someone else’s personal data that you have no right to hold.
8. Price and payment
ZenBillOS is currently free to use while we launch. We are not yet able to take payment, and no card details are collected anywhere in the app.
When paid plans begin, we will tell you the price and the date before anything is charged, and you will have to agree to it. We will not convert a free account into a paying one without your explicit agreement.
9. What we promise, and what we do not
We will make a serious effort to keep the service running, to keep your data safe, and to fix things that break. What we do not promise is uninterrupted service — this is a small operation, launching, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest.
ZenBillOS is offline-first precisely because of this: your bills are written to your own device first and sync afterwards, so an outage on our side does not stop you serving a customer standing at your counter.
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as it is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profits, lost business, or penalties arising from figures you filed without checking. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by Indian law, including for fraud.
10. Ending it
You can stop at any time. Deleting your account is in the app, under Privacy & data, and it takes effect immediately.
Your bills do not vanish when you go. GST law requires tax records to be kept for 72 months, so we erase your personal details and keep the invoices and payments locked, with nobody able to sign in and read them. This is explained in full in the Privacy Policy and on the deletion screen itself, before you confirm.
We may suspend an account that is being used for the things in section 7, or where we are required to by law. We will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
11. Changes to these terms
We will give reasonable notice in the app before terms that affect you change, and the version number and date at the top of this page will change with them. Continuing to use ZenBillOS after that means you accept the new version. If you do not, you can export your data and close your account.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Gujarat have jurisdiction. If you have a complaint, please write to us first — most things are a misunderstanding or a bug, and both are faster to fix by email than in a court.
